The Gettysburg Times October 29, 1953 Harry Seymour Kuykendall, 38, New Oxford R2, died suddenly Wednesday morning at 10:30 in Pittsburgh shortly after unloading a truck. The Pittsburgh coroner said death was due to natural causes. He was born in Peoria, Ill., a son of Oliver Kuykendall, Rig, W. Va., and the late Charity Pope Kuykendall, but resided in Adams County for the last 18 years. A member of the Foursquare Gospel Church here, he was a truck driver for the last five years for Cletus Mummert, East Berlin, whose truck he had taken to Pittsburgh. Prior to that he was employed as a driver by the York Motor Express and by the late Carl Dean. Surviving are his widow, the former Margaret Decker; eight children, Eugene, Donald, Richard, Stanley, Jerry, David, Shelby and Dorothy, all at home; his father; stepmother, Mrs. Susan Pratt Kuykenall Rig; 10 brothers, Robert, Columbus, O.; Bernard, New Orleans, La.; Roy, Gettysburg R1; Oliver, Mt. Holly Springs; Carl, Gardners R1; Herman, Winchester, Va.; Charles, Carlisle RD; Earl Blaine, Mt Holly Springs; Earl Richard, Mt. Holly Springs and James, Carlisle RD; three sisters, Mrs. S Jackson Bobo, Fairfield, R1; Mrs. Calvin Killinger, Carlisle RD and Mrs. William Riggleman, Keller, W. Va. Funeral services Sunday at 2:00 at the Foursquare Gospel Church conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Foster Group, Gardners RD. Interment in the Mummasburg Cemetery.
