Son of Mollie(Newman) and William Henry Wood. June 26, 1965 Former Resident is Buried at Claude Funeral services were conducted at Claude Monday of this week for R. P. Wood, 80, of that city, who died there Saturday, following a long illness. Wood was a brother of A.D. Wood of this city and was well known in this area, having made his home here a number of years ago. Elder and Mrs. Wood were in Claude to attend the funeral services. Ministers were Rev. E. J. Norman & Rev. Clarence W. Garrison. Music was provided by "The Griggs Pioneer Quartet" Pallbearers: (Active) Davis Burrow, Monroe Cobb, Leroy Campbell, Oren Sharp, Sam Stewart, Dalton Dye. Honorary Bearers Lowe McGehee, Jimmy Bagwell, Lee Hess, John Alexander, Earl Blanton, & Carence Luttrell. Police Escort by Armstrong Co. Sheriff's Department.
