Funeral arrangements are pending at Connally Funeral Home for John Lander, 76, of Elm Mott who died in an Austin hospital Thursday at 4 p.m. Survivors are his wife; seven sons, Ernest lander of West, Otto Lander, Felix Lander and Alvin Lander, all of Elm Mott, Herman Lander of West, Herbert Lander of San Antonio and Julius G. Lander of England; three daughters, Mrs. C. A. Schuetz of West, Mrs. R. S. Bates of Waco, and Mrs. Louis Janek of Elm Mott; a brother, Henry Lander of West; two sisters, Mrs. Chris Luechner of West and Mrs. Mary Gauer of Crawford. He was 76. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Gerald Evangelical and Reformed Church. Burial was in Gerald Cemetery. Rev. William Wuertz officiated. The body lay in state at the church two hours before the services. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Emma Lander of Elm Mott; 7 sons; Herman Lander and Ernest Lander of West, Otto Lander, Felix Lander, Alvin Lander all of Elm Mott, Herbert Lander of San Antonio and Julius G. Lander of England; three daughters, Mrs. C. A. Schuetz of West, Mrs. R. S. Bates of Waco and Mrs. Louis Janek of Elm Mott; a brother, Henry Lander of West; two sisters, Mrs. Chris Leuchner of West and Mrs. Mary Gauer of Crawford; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
