Creighton Liberal February 1, 1917 page 5 Mary Effle was born in Knox county Nebraska, Sept. 2nd, 1896 and died at her home in this city, Saturday morning at the age of 21 years, 3 months and 25 days. She was united in marriage with B.E. Hale, on Jan. 7th, 1914. To this union were born two children. She leaves to mourn her untimely departure a husband, one child, a mother, five brothers, and one sister all of whom were present. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Monday afternoon and burial was made at the Creighton Cemetery. Rev. McCallister, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. The Liberal extends deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Creighton News February 1, 1917 page 3 Mrs. Ben Hale passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary Effle last Saturday morning, after a week's sickness with pneumonia. During that time all that loving hands could possibly do for her was done. At times she seemed to gain considerable, but it seemed always, but a temporary gain. her husband, mother, and relatives had clung to every possible ray of hope, but when the change came for the worse it was apparent that the end was not far away. Mary Effle was born in Knox county, Nebraska September 2nd, 1896. She was united in marriage to B. E. Hale on January 7, 1914. to this union two children were born, one of which preceded her but a few days. She leaves to mourn her untimely departure husband, one child, mother, five brothers, and one sister. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the funeral services were in charge of Rev. McCallister. The remains were brought to it's last resting place in the Creighton cemetery. A large circle of friends were present at the services to pay their last respects including all of the family. We express our sincere sympathy to the sorrowing relatives in the loss of the departed.
