Nicholas Effle Dead Friends were somewhat startled Saturday when word was received that Nicholas Effle had died in Omaha that morning. The cause of his death was heart disease. He went to Omaha Thursday, in apparently the best of health to visit his son, Frank, and it was at the latter's home he was stricken. The remains were brought from Omaha Sunday and taken to his home in Logan township and Monday morning the funeral was held from the Methodist church in Creighton, conducted by Rev. Bowen. Nicholas Effle was born in France, August 9, 1843 and was married December 10, 1878 to Mary Hentges. To this union eight children were born, seven of whom are living. He was an old resident of Knox county, locating in Logan township in an early day. He was well known and respected by all. Card of Thanks We wish to thank the many friends, who so kindly assisted us at the time of our husband and father's death. Mrs. Mary Effle and Family ...The Creighton News 14 April 1910
