Ed Valasek, 35, farmer living near Palmer, died early Monday morning in the St. Paul Hospital. He had been ill for the past two months. Edmund C. Valasek was born August 5, 1924 at Primrose to Michael and Anna Valasek. He received his schooling in Greeley County. He was a member of the Armed Forces during the occupation of Japan in 1946 and 1947. He never married. Surviving are five brothers, Leo, Allie, Mike, Alfred and Joseph, all of Palmer; and one sister, Mrs. Irene Slizoski of Belgrade. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
