Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Dingler, wife of the late Henry Dingler, pioneer Henderson county landowner, who died in a hospital in Terrell Monday night were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the New York Church. The services were conducted by Loyd Williams, Methodist minister of LaRue, with the Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home of Athens in charge. Interment was in the New York cemetery. Pall bearers were: Vernon Bostick, Calvin Tindel, Dennis Sholars, Boss Cobb, Grover Crossley and Hubert Crossley. Mrs. Dingler was born in the LaRue community on March 13, 1869, and was reared in that community. Mr. Dingler died several months ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ethel A. DeShazo of LaRue; two sons, Gus and Corbett Dingler, LaRue; two brothers, J.B. Gauntt of LaRue and Leroy Gauntt of Hubbard; three sisters, Mrs. W.A. Vandiver of Dallas, Mrs. Joe Young and Mrs. Daisy Dingler of LaRue and three grandchildren. Published in the Athens Review May 6, 1943
