Athens Weekly Review, 22 Jul 1943 (Bk p. 87) - Mrs. Sibbie Gauntt Vandiver died at the home of her son, G. P. Vandiver, 5106 Miller, Dallas, early Sat. morning, according to a message received in Athens. Mrs. Vandiver was born & reared in the New York comm. & had many relatives & friends in this county. She was the daughter of J. C. & Meldred Gauntt. Survivors: son; 2sis: Mrs. Jeff Young & Mrs. Daisy Dingler of LaRue; 2bros: J. B. Gauntt-New York & LeRoy Gauntt-Hubbard. Funeral services were held last Sun. afternoon at o'clock at Lindale, with interment following in the Lindale Cem.
