OBIT states death date is Aug. 6, 1903 and stone states Aug. 16, 1903 GREENVILLE HERALD BANNER Mary O. Weems, 96 October 3, 1999 Funeral services were held for Mary O. Weems, of Houston, on Friday at Pemberton Funeral Home in Commerce. Rev. Donald E. Wright officiated, with burial in Rosemound Cemetery. Weems was born Aug. 6, 1903, in the Needmore Community of Delta County to John R. and Pearl Blair Stooksberry. She married Otis E. Weems. Weems was a former resident of Commerce, having lived in Houston for the past 40 years. She was a member of the Westberry Baptist Church of Houston. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed and always remembered. She is preceded in death by her husband, Otis E. Weems and son, Winfred E. Weems. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Ovetra Covin and Norma Hardy of Houston, Jo Ann and Charles Keith of Houston and Frieda and Shirley Hooten of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, John Ed and Virginia Weems of Arlington; brothers, Howard Stooksberry, Hubert Stooksberry, Joe Stooksberry, Waydell Stooksberry and Finis Stooksberry; sister, Edna Ruth White; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
