Kathryn Yoder, 76 of Canby died March 16 in a Portland hospital of cancer. She was born Dec. 10, 1905 in Barlow to John and Grace Berkey. She married Lee Yoder on May 1, 1930. They lived in Oregon City until 1947 when they moved to Barlow. In 1973 they moved to Canby. Mrs. Yoder was manager of the Grant Street School cafeteria for 27 years. After her retirement, she was cook for the Canby Loaves and Fishes program for several years. She was also a charter member of Calvary Mennonite Church. Mrs. Yoder is survived by her husband, Lee; a daughter, Beverly Boyle of West Linn; a son, Rodney of Finley, Wash.; four sisters, Gladys Heyerly and Helen Reznicsek, both of Hubbard, Blanche Heyerly of Molalla, and Ruth Hostetler of Canby; three brothers, Willis Berkey and Kenneth Berkey, both of Hubbard, and Richard Berkey of Molalla; and five grandchildren, Natalie, John and Dan Yoder of Finley, Wash. and Wayne and David Boyle of West Linn. Pastor Vic Walters of Calvary Mennonite church officiated at graveside services at Zion Mennonite Cemetery Saturday, March 20. A memorial service followed at Calvary Mennonite Church.
