Bio

Vilem F. (William) Serbus was born on 26 April 1869, near Sleepy Eye, Brown County, Minnesota, to Jan (John) and Rosile Brtek Serbus. William never married. Because William Serbus had contracted tuberculosis, his parents sent him to live in Florida, with the hope that he would recover. His brother, Henry Peter Serbus, accompanied him to Florida. Vilem F. (William) Serbus died on 10 January 1895. After his death, Henry brought his body back to Minnesota for burial. William was buried next to his parents in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota.
