THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 16 Apr 1981. 'Joe Bob Brazeal, 58, of 2345 Crescent, died 9 Apr 1981 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, 11 Apr, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. D.W. Andrews and the Rev. James Barnes officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Brazeal was born in Atlas on 4 Dec 1922, son of Charlie L. Brazeal and Tollie Russell Brazeal. He attended schools in Atlas, Delmar and Paris Junior College. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy. He married Louise Brecheen on 10 May 1944. He was employed as a salesman for several Paris retail businesses, retiring from Goodyear in 1975. He was a member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church and of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Bobby Brazeal of Mesquite, Joe David Brazeal of Paris and Buddy Brazeal of Blossom; his mother, Mrs. Charlie Brazeal of Paris; two sisters, Mrs. Billy McNeal of Denton and Mrs. Doris Watkins of Paris; two brothers, Jimmy Brazeal and Jerry Brazeal both of Paris; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Brazeal Moree in September, 1970.' -------------------------
