Charles Harold “Buddy” Brazeal 66, loving husband, father and “Papa”, died at 6:48 PM, Monday, June 24, 2019 at Paris Regional Medical Center. A memorial service is set for 6:00 PM, Monday, July 1, 2019 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Mackey officiating. The family will greet friends in the foyer of the chapel following the service. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Buddy was born November 9, 1952 in Paris to Joe Bob and Louise Brecheen Brazeal. He graduated from Paris High School and worked as a computer consultant prior to his retirement. Mr. Brazeal married Nita Kay Hinsley on June 17, 1977 in Galveston, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Nita Brazeal of Paris; four children, Douglas Keith Johnson, Jr. and wife Stacie of Blossom, Brandy Renee Preston and husband, Gary of Paris, Misti LaKay Heckaman and husband, John of Savannah, Texas, and Lisa LaKay Dunagan and husband, Caleb of Powderly; nine grandchildren, Matthew Taylor Johnson and wife, Megan, Alisa LaKay Landers and husband, Hunter, Jacob Alexander Johnson, Tucker Ethan Johnson, Walker Brant Preston, Reed Ryan Preston, Jaxen Cade Heckaman, Dylan Gage Heckaman, and Cason Lane Dunagan; two great-grandchildren, Amelia Addison Landers and Callahan Deryl Landers; one brother, Bobby Don Brazeal and wife, Anna of Sachse, Texas; and nieces and nephews, Brad Brazeal, Sherri Curry, Amanda Traylor, Tab Moree, Joe Paul Brazeal, Casey Brazeal and Beverly Reavis. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Beverly Kay Moree; and one brother, Joe David Brazeal.
