THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Jun. 30, 1996, p.12A. 'Doris Ann Watkins, 61, of the Jennings Community died Friday, June 28, 1996, in St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 30, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Dearinger officiating. Burial will be in McDonald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Watkins was born March 25, 1935, in the Atlas community of Lamar County, a daughter of Charlie and Tollie Russell Brazeal. She attended Delmar schools and was the Salutatorian of her graduating class. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She married John D. Watkins Aug. 8, 1957, in Hugo. Survivors include her husband, of Jennings; a son, John David Watkins and his wife, Tammy, of Jennings; two daughters, Karen Watkins, and her husband Randy Johnson of Ben Franklin, and Sharon Watkins of Jennings; a grandson, Tracy Watkins of Jennings; two granddaughters, Charity Watkins and Christina Watkins, both of Jennings; a step-grandson, Aaron Johnson of Ben Franklin; a sister, Billie McNeal of Paris; two brothers, Jerry Brazeal of Broadway and Jimmy Brazeal of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Joe Bob Brazeal. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry McNeal, Brit Phillips, Buddy Brazeal, Jerry Wayne Brazeal, Billy Brazeal and Jeff Brazeal.
