Mrs. Joseph Foit Dies Following Short Illness Mrs. Joseph Foit, 62, of Rt. 2, West died at 5:15 Friday, November 1, at a Waco hospital after a short illness. Funeral Services were held Monday in West at the Czech Moravian Brethren Church, Rev. Albert Michalik and Rev. F. J. Kostohryz officiated. Burial was in CMB Cemetery. Mrs. Foit was born Carrie Horak near West on July 20, 1895. She had lived near West all her life. She was married to Joseph Foit, a farmer, in 1913. She was a member of the Czech Moravian Brethren Church, and was very active in church work and in the Christian Sisters, having served as President for several terms and was serving as Vice President at the time of her death. Survivors are her husband, Joseph Foit; three sons, Joe R. Foit of Bellmead, William A. Foit of Dallas and Spc. 2/c Robert D. Foit of Pertaluma, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Albin A. Fojt of China Lake, Calif., Mrs. M.W. Stover and Mrs. E. R. Barton, both of Waco, Mrs. Steve Lovecky of West, Mrs. John Schovajsa of Victoria; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Will Janek, Ed.
