JOHN CLEVELAND PEACE John Cleveland Peace was born April 9, 1857 in Shelby County, Texas to Blackburn Peace & Modena Wheeler. He died Jan. 3, 1936 in Shelby County, Texas. John married Angelina "Angie" Taylor on Sept. 1, 1875, she was from Alabama. From this union the following children were born: Dicey Modenia, John William, Nancy Gertrude, Myrtie, Robert, and Emmitt Peace. Dicey Modenia married John Daniel Pate, John William married Cora Elizabeth Anderson, Nancy Gertrude married Ples Berry Cooper, Myrtie married William Bruce Pate, Robert married Lillie Stack, and Emmitt married, Samuel Elonzo January. After the death of Angelina "Angie" Taylor Peace, John married Rosella McCrae. Angelina is buried in Wheeler Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas. John and Rosella married April 5, 1893 in Shelby County, Texas. To this union the following children were born: Curtis, Hollis, Travis, Jackie, Donnely, Lillian, Reuben, and John C. Jr. Curtis married Susie Emma Holmes, Hollis married Vonnie Lee Wilson, Reuben married Donnie N. Andrews, John C. married 1st Lois McCain 2nd Hazel Atwood.
