Bio

ROSELLA McCRAE PEACE Rosella McCrea was born Feb. 26, 1868 to Taylor McCrea and Sis Samford. She died April 8, 1931. Taylor McCrea was born in Tenn. and served in the CSA War. Later moving to Texas! Rosella married John Cleveland Peace, April 5, 1893 in Shelby County, Texas. To this union the following children were born: Curtis, James Hollis, Travis, Jackie, Donnely, Lillian, Reuben, and John Cleveland Peace, Jr. Travis, Jackie, Donnely, and Lillian all died at a young age. Rosella, cooked in a big black pot in their fireplace, some of her grandchildren stated that she could cook the best beans and cornbread you ever ate. Good memories!
