Bio

Dorothy May Shaver Guthrie attended Chattanooga Business School after she graduated from Rhea Central High School. She worked as a Secretary, Sales Representative for World Book Encyclopedias, and opened the first Merle Norman Cosmetics store in Dayton. She was survived by two children: Joy Guthrie Rodriguez and Joe Guthrie.
