OBITUARY SHAVER, MRS. MATTIE, age 79, died Wednesday night, in a Dayton, Tenn. hospital. She was the widow of H. H. Shaver, a pioneer citizen of Rhea County. Survivors are five sons, J. H. Shaver, W. A. Shaver, D. M. Shaver, William Shaver and Leland Shaver, all of Dayton, Tenn; four daughters, Mrs. Tom Ingle, Harriman, Tenn, Mrs. Boyd Manis of Evensville, Tenn; Mrs. Kenneth Young and Mrs. T. F. Guthrie both of Dayton; one sister, Miss Mary Burnett of Dayton; also 33 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Salem Baptist Church (near Dayton) with Rev. Grady Roddy and Rev. E. L. Clarke officiating. Interment will follow in Shaver Cemetry. Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons: Max Shaver, Philip Ingle, Ray Shaver, Delmar Shaver, Harold Ingle and Dean Shaver. The body is at the residence.
