BORGER* - Altha Mitchell, 96, died Saturday, July 20, 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bible Baptist Church of Borger with Chad Mitchell, pastor of Loving Care Ministries Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mitchell married M.S. Mitchell in 1923 and worked until retirement at Borger Laundry. She was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, J.M. Mitchell of Borger and Bill Mitchell of Crane; two daughters, Pansy Hill of Abilene and Myra Boykin of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, TX 79605. Amarillo Globe-News, July 21, 2002
