Borger News Herald - April 30, 1989 W. Dean Garrett, 59, 13 Glenbrook, died Saturday morning in his residence. Owner of Garrett Motor Company, he was a native of Memphis and a Borger resident for 45 years. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lyone; one son, Bill Garrett of Borger; one daughter, Belynda Griffin of Stinnett; one brother, B.J. Garrett of Borger; three sisters, Altha Moore of Borger, Gladys Price of Sulphur Springs, Lois Neeper of Pueblo, Colo.; four grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial was under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
