Borger News Herald - January 15, 1989 LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Christine Garrett Darnell, 72, died Friday in Las Vegas, Nev. A homemaker, she was a native of Cumby and a former Borger resident. She is survived by two sons, R.C. Darnell, LaVerne, Calif., Ben Darnell of Bakersfield, Calif.; one daughter, Lurelone Darnell Frederick, Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Dean and Bill Garrett, Borger; three sisters, Altha Moore of Borger, Lois Neeper of Pueblo, Colo., Gladys Price, Sulphur Springs; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
