Thanks to Find a Grave member Carolyn Brinkmeyer for the following information: Herald Coaster, March 1, 1962: Funeral services for Mrs. Emillie Ernest, 70, were held from the Triska Chapel in Rosenberg at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, followed by Requiem Mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Rev. J.J. Tydlacka officiating, assisted by Rev. A.W. Nesvadba. Mrs. Ernest was born in Fayette County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Poncik. In 1911, she married Frank Ernest. They moved to Fort Bend County in 1914. She passed away suddenly at her home following a heart attack Wednesday evening. She was a member of the Rosenberg K.J.Z.T. Society. Survivors are her husband, Frank Ernest of Pleak; two sons, Joe and Edward Ernest of Rosenberg; one daughter, Mrs. Otto Kunz of Pleak; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Joe of Pleak, Paul of Freeport, Frank of Mineral Wells, Henry of East Bernard, and Louis of Rosenberg; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Lukas of Fayetteville, Mrs. Joe Orsak of Louise, Mrs. Mary Eda of Richmond, and Mrs. Minnie Mikolas of Rosenberg. Pallbearers were Stanley Kaminski, Milton Richlefsen, Joe Orsak, V.A. Hrbacek, Jerry Poncik, and Victor Poncik. Honorary pallbearers were John Mensik, Rud Cernosek, Gus Klasel, Anton Pavlik, Vinc Nesvadba, and Jerry Vacek. Interment was made in the West Garden of Gethsemane, with the Triska Funeral Home in charge.
