Bio

Herald Coaster, February 27, 1962: Funeral services for Alvin Frank Ernest, 47, were held from the Triska Chapel in Rosenberg Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m., followed by Requiem Mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. J.J. Tydlacka officiating, assisted by Father Jessie Linam. Mr. Ernest was born in Plum. In 1940, he moved to Austin where he passed away in a hospital Tuesday afternoon. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ernest of Pleak; two brothers, Joe and Edward Ernest of Rosenberg; and one sister, Mrs. Otto Kunz of Pleak. Pallbearers were Willie Poncik, Victor Poncik, Jerry Poncik, Valentine Hrbacek, Joe Orsak, and Arnold Eda. Interment was made in the West Garden of Gethsemane with the Triska Funeral Home in charge.
