Baxter Community-Betty Ruth Neely,beloved wife, passed away Jan. 16, 2010 in Tyler. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 at 0 a.m. at the First Baptist Chruch in Athens with Dr. bill Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens. Betty lived her entire life in the Baxter Community Betty retired after 29 years of service with United Telephone Company as a telephone operator. She was an avid reader and loved visiting with her friends , and most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claud Richardson and Artie Mae Baker; sister Mary Lou Richardson and Zephie Burch; brothers Clarence Richardson, Jimmy Glenn Richardson, Ronnie Richardson and Truitt Richardson; three nieces, Glenda Dingler, Shannon Mills, Mary LeAnne Richarson; and one nephew, Michael Lee Richardson. Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years Robert Neely, Athens; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Linda Neely, Athens; grandchildren Trent Neely, Fairfield, Ruth Neely, AThens; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Louise Richardson, Baxter Community; sisters and brothers-in-law Fayrene and Floyd Miller; Frances and Bobby Smith, Suella and Harold Clyde, Bonnie Smith and Deanne Richardson, all of Baxter Community; aunt Janie Crippen and husband Charles, Houston; sisters-in-law Andrea Richardson, Ann Richardson, Baxter Community; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Wayne Miller, Darrell Miller; Russell Richardson, Mark Richardson, Stephen Clark, Robert Duhon and Josh Hart. Honorary pallbearers will be First Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class and First Baptist Chruch Women's Sunday School Class.
