Seventy-Year Resident, John Divin, Dies Here John Divin, Sr., 74, passed away at his home on Monday, June 23. Mr. Divin, a retired farmer, had been a resident of this area for the past 70 years. He was a member of the KJT Lodge of the Church of the Assumption. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Assumption at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Rosary was recited at Aderhold Chapel Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Rev. E. J. Polcak officiated at the services. Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Survivors are five sons, John A. Divin, Jr. of Itasca, Frank V. Divin of Hillsboro, George Divin of West, Louis Divin of We3st, and Adolph Divin of the Air Force in Michigan; six daughters, Mrs. O. Mikeska of Abbott, Mrs. Rosie Smajstrla of Hillsboro, Mrs. Annie Karlik of West, Mrs. Mollie Krizan of Dallas, Mrs. Mary Sulak of Marlin, Mrs. Frances Lehr of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Frank Divin of Abbott; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pustejovsky of Abbott and Mrs. Julia Marak of Seymour; 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
