Mrs. Louis (Annie) Karlik, age 85, of 300 Haven in West passed away August 3, 1995, in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. August 4 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ed Karasek. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. August 5 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Karlik was born June 25, 1910, near West and had lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, the K.J.Z.T. Society #11 and the Altar Rosary Society. She was a homemaker. She married Lois Karlik on November 24, 1931, and he preceded her in death September 4, 1975. Mrs. Karlik was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Grimm, and a granddaughter, Melinda Petter. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe Edd (Anne) Grimm of West and Mrs. Albin (Joyce) Petter of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sulak of Marlin and Mrs. Frances Lehr of Arlington; three sisters-in-law, Agnes Divin of Wimberly, Sister Evangelista Karlik of New Braunfels and Mozelle Divin of Dallas; one brother-in-law, Floyd Smajstrla of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Pat Grimm, Suzanne Jares, Betsy Browder, David Petter, Carol White and Andy Petter; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Pat Grimm, David Petter, Andy Petter, Anthony Jares, Glenn Browder and Dallas White. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
