Funeral Services For Alois Slovak Held Wednesday Alois (Louis) Slovak, 76, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday in a Hillsboro hospital. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption at West. Rev. James Quilter officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Aderhold Funeral Chapel. Mr. Slovak was a native of Fayette County. He was a carpenter and a member of the Catholic Church. He had lived in West for nine years. He and his wife, Tinnie Slovak, would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16 of this year. Mr. Slovak had been ill for several weeks. Survivors are his wife; four brothers, Joe Slovak of Rosenberg, Ed Slovak of West, John Slovak of Dallas, and Ray Slovak of Temple.; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Neckar of Waco, Mrs. Annie Pechacek of Eddy, Mrs. Rosie Kyselka of West, Mrs. Lillian Chada and Miss Jannie Slovak, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Alvina Kabella of Temple; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Joe Janda, J.L. McCain, Leo Miller, Robert Navaratil, all of West, John Brockman and Bernard Lenart, both of Temple.
