Waco Tribune Herald, Waco, Texas, Sunday, February 22, 1959 Anton Slovak Dies; Abbott Rites Monday Anton Alois Slovak, 72, of Route 2, Abbott, died Saturday in a Hillsboro Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 9 a.m. at Abbott Catholic Church, Rev. W. Pechal will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold-Moore Chapel in West. Mr. Slovak was a retired farmer and long-time resident of the Abbott community. Surviving are his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Emil Pavlicek of Leroy, Mrs. Mary McNary of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Will Ennis of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Fred M. Gerik of Grand Prairie, Mrs. Ramon Guillory of Dallas, and Miss Gladys Jean Slovak of Abbott; 10 sons, Albin P. Slovak, Willie Slovak, Adolf A. Slovak, Robert S. Slovak and Johnny R. Slovak of Corpus Christi, Raymond A. Slovak of Fort Worth, Jerry T. Slovak of Grand Prairie, David C. Slovak and Danny P. Slovak of Abbott; one step-son, Frankie J. Vanek of Vernon; five brothers, Joseph Slovak of Rosenberg, Ed Slovak and Alois Slovak of West, John Slovak of Dallas and Raymond Slovak of Temple; six sisters, Mrs. Steve Neckar of Lorena, Mrs. Rose Keselka of West, Mrs. Adolf Pechacek of Eddy, Mrs. Ed Chada of Los Angeles, Mrs. Henry Kabella of Temple, and Miss Jennie Slovak of California; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
