Mrs. Tinnie Slovak, 89, of Waco, formerly of West, died Friday, February 8, 1980 in a local nursing home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, the Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Slovak was born Feb. 2, 1891 in Industry. She had lived in the West and Hillsboro areas most of her life, moving to Waco in 1976. Her husband, Alois Slovak, died in 1965. Mrs. Slovak was a housewife and a Catholic. Pallbearers were Ernest Urbanovsky, Ernest Kaska, Melvin Jares, Chester Cowan, Bernard Lenart and David Slovak.
