Bio
Rose Grmela, age 81, of 512 South Marable in West, passed away early Saturday morning, April 13, 1991 at West Community Hospital. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Grmela was a resident of the West area all her life and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is preceded in death by one son, Henry Grmela who died July 13, 1989. Survivors include two sons, Rudy Grmela of Elm Mott and Joe Grmela of West; four daughters, Mrs. Woodrow (Helen) Girard, Mrs. Jerry (Margaret) Sinkule, and Miss Sue Grmela, all of West, and Mrs. Ed (Lois) McMillan of McGregor; two brothers, Henry Macha of Detroit, Michigan and Frank Macha of Troy, Michigan; one sister, Bessie Grmela of West; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jerry Girard, Jerry Sinkule, Jr., David Girard, Lawrence Girard, Tim Sinkule, Edward Grmela, Mark Sinkule and Jimmy Grmela. Aderhold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
