Bio

Bessie M. Grmela, age 87, of 408 S. Marable in West, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 27, 1991 at West Rest Haven. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Grmela was born March 4k 1904 in West, the daughter of Phillip and Marie Macha. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is survived by one son, Daniel Grmela of Fort Worth; one daughter, Mrs. Ben (Wilma) Marek of Waco; two sons, Henry Macha of Detroit, Michigan and Frank Macha of Troy, Michigan; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Doug Rose, Woodrow Girard, Rudy Grmela, Jerry Sinkule, Louis Bajer, Steve Duckworth and Dennis Macha.
