Pioneer Resident Taken By Death Vinc Urbanovsky, age 73, pioneer resident of this community, passed away at his farm home near here at 11 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. F.D. Urbanovsky, his son, officiating. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Urbanovsky was born in Novy Ticin, Czechoslovakia, coming to the United States and this city at the age of six. He had lived here since that time. during the sixty-seven years spent in this community he saw this section develop from an open prairie to become the thriving community it is today. Mr. Urbanovsky was recognized as one of our most progressive farmers and played an important part in the development of this community. Survivors include his widow, eight sons, Rev. F.D. Urbanovsky of Fayetteville, Brother Raymond of the Benedictive Order, Peru, Ill., Andrew and John of Corpus Christi, Vinc of Abbott, Willie, Alois and Dan Urbanovsky of West; three daughters, Mrs. A.C. Kocurek of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Victor Hajek of Ft. Worth and Mrs. John Divin of West; 32 grandchildren; one great-grandson and two brothers.
