Last Rites For Dan Urbanovsky Held Wednesday Dan F. Urbanovsky, 78, of West, died Monday, Oct. 4 in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Kotch Funeral Chapel. A requiem mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frank Urbanovsky and Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrants. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Mr. Urbanovsky was born in West and had lived in the West area all of his life. He operated Urbanovsky Studio for 42 years until his retirement in 1958. Upon his retirement Mr. Urbanovsky stated that Urbanovsky Studio was the oldest business in West in continuous operation by the same person. He married Miss Lydia Maresh on Jan. 9, 1922, in Terrell. She died on March 30, 1965. He as a veteran of World War I. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus council 2305. He was a member of the American legion and had been a member of KJT Society No. 31 for 50 years. Survivors include a son, Danny Urbanovsky of West; a daughter, Mrs. Noel (Doris) Gayden of Waco; five brothers, O.J. Urbanovsky of Fort Worth, Vince Urbanovsky of Abbott, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frank Urbanovsky of Houston, Joe K. Urbanovsky of Jarrell and Louis Urbanovsky of Whitesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Hajek of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Rosie Divin of Whitney; and nine grandchildren.
