Louis Stepan's Funeral Services Held Thursday Louis Stepan died at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Olga Vrba of Rt. 1, Elm Mott. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Assumption in West, Msgr. I. J. Valenta officiated, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold-Moore Chapel. Mr. Stepan was a retired farmer. He was born in Czechoslovakia. He lived in the West area for approximately 60 years. He was a member of KJT Lodge No. 31. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louisa Stepan; three sons, Joe Stepan of Austin, George Stepan of Jacksonville, Miss., and John Stepan of Austin; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Vrba of Temple, Mrs. Olga Vrba of Elm Mott and Mrs. Rosalee Kavinski of York, Pa.; one brother, R. J. Stepan of Rosenberg; five sisters, Mrs. Frances Gerik, Mrs. Mary Kramolis and Mrs. Rosie Seith, all of West, Mrs. Sofia Gerik and Mrs. Millie Chada of LaSalle; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
