Bio
Mrs. Frank (Rosie) Seith, age 95 of West, passed away Tuesday evening, April 13, 1993 in West Rest Haven. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, by Msgr. George Doskocil, in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Seith was born January 21, 1898 in Hallettsville and had lived most of her life in West. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she sang in the Senior Choir for 40 years and was also a member of the 50-50 Club of the church. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 of West and Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829. Mrs. Seith was a volunteer at West Rest Haven for a number of years. She married Frank Seith on January 26, 1920 at West and he died May 27, 1971. Mrs. Seith is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marcella Penick of Houston; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were James Elles, Thomas Penick, David Penick, David Zatopek, Randy Franek and James Penick. Honorary pallbearers were Louis Pustejovsky, George Stepan, John Macicek, Ernest Bezdek and Joe Stepan. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 103, No. 17, Ed. 1, Thursday, April 29, 1993, page 9.
