Mrs. Smajstrla Of Abbott Dies, Rites Held Friday Mrs. Bozena J. Smajstrla, 79, of Abbott, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 20, in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, Rev. W. Pechal, celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Smajstrla was born in Czechoslovakia and had lived in the Abbott area for 38 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott and a member of the Altar Society. Her husband, Vaclav Smajstrla, died in 1961. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ed (Margaret) Klaus of West, Mrs. Albert (Mary) Olsovsky, Mrs. Hollis (Martha) Neill and Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Sustala, all of Abbott; one brother, Frank Ruzicka of Sugar Land; one sister, Mrs. V. J. (Amalie) Urbanovsky of Abbott; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert Neill, Tommy Neill, Billy Neill, Eddie Klaus, Albert Olsovsky and Billy Sustala.
