Mrs. Ruzicka's Funeral Services Held Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. Josefa Ruzicka of Abbott, who passed away at 6 p.m. Monday in the Czech Catholic Home for the Aged, Inc. at Hillje, Wharton County, Texas, were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Catholic Church at Abbott, Rev. W. Pechal officiating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery in West. Mrs. Ruzicka was born in Jezernice, Czechoslovakia, On Feb. 20, 1868. She came to America some 60 years ago with her husband, Leopold, who preceded her in death 13 years ago. Survivors are three sons, Leo of Morton, Joe of West and Frank of Rosharon; four daughters, Mary, Mrs. John Polansky of West, Bessie, Mrs. Vac Smajstrla of Abbott, Annie, Mrs. O.J. Pustejovsky of Abbott, and Amalie, Mrs. V.J. Urbanovsky of Abbott; 24 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren. Rosary was held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Pallbearers were her grandsons; her great-grandsons served as altar boys.
