Mrs. Henry (Lois) Popp, age 67, of 310 W. Pecan passed away Friday, July 19, 1985 at West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. Frank Miller. Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Msgr. George Doskocil officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Popp was born September 28, 1917 in McLennan County. She married Henry Popp in Tours, November 7, 1933. She was co-owner of Henry's Grocery & Market from 1933 until 1977. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and of the Ladies Altar Society. She is survived by her husband Henry, two sons, Calvin R. Popp of San Antonio and Gary Popp of Edinburg; two brothers, Edward Podsednik of Waco and Robert Podsednik of Leroy; five sisters, Josephine Matus of Robinson, Antonia Brooks of Rt. 2, West, Adeline Davis of Utah, Ernestine Janek of West and Rebecca Bray of Rt. 2, West. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Steve Podsednik, James Brooks, Jr., Terry Walling, Wilburn Matus, Jo Edd Matus and Frankie Zotz.
