Adeline Davis, 81, of Tours, Texas, died Sept. 17, 2005, in Waco, Texas. Adeline Davis was born Nov. 2, 1923, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Snider) Podsednik of Tours, Texas. She was united in marriage to Wesley M. Davis in Dallas, Texas. Adeline was co-owner of Brooks Grocery in Oak Cliff, Texas, for over 30 years before retiring in 1975 and moving to Lorimor. She returned to the West, Texas, area in 2000. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; five sisters, Josephine Matus, Louise Popp, Antonia Brooks, Ernestine Janek and Wanda Bridges; and two brothers, Jodie Podsednik and Ed Podsednik. She is survived by one son, Shelly Brooks of Houston, Texas; a brother, Robert Podsednik of Leroy, Texas; a sister, Rebecca Bray of West, Texas; and three grandchildren.
