Jos. Polasek, Jr. Age 65, Dies Joseph R. (Sonny) Polasek, Jr., 65, of West died Monday morning in a Temple hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Polasek was a native and lifelong resident of West. He owned and operated Polasek Plumbing Co. of West for about 10 years. He also had been a civil service employee at James Connally Air Base for several years. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. Polasek was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, VFW Post 4819 and West Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Polasek of Garland and Joe R. Polasek III of Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota; three sisters, Mrs. E. L. (Mary) Barton, Mrs. John (Leona) Nemecek and Mrs. Joe (Rose) Vitek, all of West. Active pallbearers were Willie Snokhous, Raymond Nemecek, Victor Jares, Joe Mashek, Larry Scott and John Sulak.
