Bio

Adelle Lillie Nemec, age 88, of West, passed away Friday morning, July 15, 2005 at Crestview Healthcare Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 2:00 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:15 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Melvin Dornak as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Nemec was born November 10, 1916 in Hill County, the daughter of August and Mary Frances Marek. She married Vinc Victor Nemec on August 6, 1945 in West. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2004. She worked for Plantation Foods and West Community Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. Adelle also loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Adelle was a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #54, St Anne's Altar Society and St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Her parents; a son, Jimmie Nemec; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Nemec; grandson, Brian Polansky; four brothers, Albert Marek, George Marek, Jerry Marek and infant brother Walter Marek all precede her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Polansky and her husband, Henry and Darlene Schier and Ray Brown, all of West; two sisters, Irene Tenney of Ennis and Pauline Helona of West; six grandchildren, Ryan Nemec, Dustin Nemec, Mark Polansky and wife Landrah, Shelly Nors and husband Chris, Darrell Bartosh and wife Nora, and Jennifer Schier; four great -grandchildren, Skyler Polansky, Hannah Bartosh, Kendall Bartosh, and Luis Ramirez, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
