"Jimmie" Nemec, 57, of West was held at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. A rosary was recited at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Mr. Nemec died Thursday evening, July 8, 2004, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. He was born July 16, 1946, the son of Vinc and Adele Nemec. He attended West schools. He married Margaret Kral Carlile on Aug. 29, 1997. He was a forklift operator, working at Patrick Industries for 14 years and also Cameron Mills and Certainteed in Waco for many years. He enjoyed arrow hunting, stargazing and playing the accordion. He had most recently played the accordion at the Elizabeth Lutheran Church Pre-July 4 celebration in Caldwell. He was a member of SPJST Lodge No. 54, K.J.T. Society No. 31 and Knights of Columbus No. 2305. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Glenda Freeman and one step-granddaughter, Mandy Macik. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Carlile; two sons, Ryan Nemec and Dustin Nemec, both of Waco; three stepsons, James Carlile and wife Denise of Elm Mott, John Carlile and wife Carylon of West and Frank Carlile of Crawford; four step-daughters, Denise Macik and husband Henry, Elizabeth Polansky and husband Robert, Margaret Gentry and husband Reid and Sandra Kaiser, all of West; his parents, Vinc and Adele Nemec of West; two sisters, Shirley Polansky and Darlene Schier, both of West; one grandson, 16 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews; several great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers who served were Mark Polansky, Darrell Bartosh, Henry Macik, Robert Polansky, Reid Gentry and John Carlile. Waco Tribune Herald, Waco, Texas
