Mrs. Ed (Mary) Mashek, 74, of 104 N. Davis St. died Wednesday, January 27, 1988 in West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, with Rev. Isidore Rozyski as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Mashek was born March 17, 1913, in Tours. She was a life long resident of the Tours and West areas. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 829. She was married to Ed Mashek in 1936 in Tours. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Edward Louis and Paula Mashek, Jr. of Burleson; two daughters and son-in-laws: Pat and Larry Lassetter of San Antonio; Kay and Dan Popp of Arlington; one brother, Ed Grimm of West; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Larry Lassetter, Jr., Joe Edd Grimm, Joe Stanislav, Wesley Mashek, Joe Mashek and Richard Hutyra. Honorary pallbearers, all nephews.
