Alphonse Grimm Dies; Funeral Held Monday Flags flew at half-mast in West Monday for Alphonse F. Grimm, 56, popular West businessman who died Saturday morning, March 26, in a Waco hospital. Mr. Grimm had heart trouble and had suffered a stroke several weeks ago. Funeral services were held at 9:30 Monday at the Church of the Assumption. Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold-Moore Chapel, Father Frank Miller officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Grimm is survived by his late wife, Mrs. Adele Grimm; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Black; three brothers, Herman and Freddy Grimm of Tours and Ed H. Grimm of West; one sister, Mrs. Mary Mashek of West. Mr. Grimm was born in the Tours community, and lived there and in West all of his life. He was a member of the KC and KJT Lodges. At the time of his death, he was in the feed and grain business. Pallbearers were: Johnny Beseda, Alfred Hlavenka, Alfonse Schroeder, Albert Milberger, Joseph L. Melasky, and Raymond Hartsfield.
