Herman Grimm, 79, of Tours, former longtime owner with his wife of Grimm's Cash Store, died Thursday morning, February 26, 1987, at his residence. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. February 27 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 9 a.m. February 28 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, the Rev. Isidore Rozycki and Msgr. Frank Miller as co-celebrants. Burial followed in St. Martin's Cemetery, Tours. Mr. Grimm was born July 29, 1907 in Tours where he lived all of is life. He owned and operated with his wife Grimm's Cash Store in Tours for 42 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours and St. Martin's Society. He was a member of the KJT, Knights of Columbus Council 2305 of West, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4819 of West and Boyd-Sykora-Karlik American Legion Post 478. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had been a member and sales representative of Catholic Life Insurance Co. since 1936. He was a member of SPJST Lodge No. 6 and was treasurer of the West Welfare Agency many years. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Grimm; a son, Joe Edd Grimm of West; two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Marilyn) Hutyra of Tours and Mrs. Thomas (Martha Ann) Altus of Arlington; a brother, Edd Grimm of West; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Mashek of West; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Darrell Altus, Steve Altus, Tom Hutyra, Jerry Hutyra, Pat Grimm and Mike Grimm. Honorary pallbearers were Boyd-Sykora-Karlik American Legion Post 478 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4819.
