Funeral Services Held Wednesday For John Makovy John H. Makovy of Abbott died at 2 a.m. Tuesday in a Waco hospital. He was 90. Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the West Catholic Church of the Assumption, Msgr. I.J. Valenta officiated, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold-Moore Funeral Chapel. Mr. Makovy was a retired farmer. He had lived in the Abbott area for 70 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Makovy of Abbott; three sons, John Makovy and Lewis Makovy of Abbott and Charlie Makovy of West; three daughters, Mrs. Albina Dolezal of Ennis, Mrs. Lillie Kanaday of Waco and Mrs. Olga Whitley of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Strnadel of West.
