Frances Kabela Age 93, Dies Mrs. Frances Kabela, age 93, of Granger passed away at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 1978 in a Granger nursing home. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 1978 in Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 1978 in St. Mary's Cemetery in West with Rev. William Benish as celebrant. Mrs. Kabela was born in Fayetteville, Texas on March 19, 1885 and had lived in Granger for the past 35 years. She was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and the KJZT of Granger. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Rudy (Louise) Spacek of Granger; one sister, Mrs. Sophie Janek of West; one brother, Chas. G. Janak of Smithville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
