Bio
Hazel L. Tomlonovic, the daughter of Jacob and Lucinda Wood Berkenbosch, was born November 07, 1905 at rural Monroe, Iowa. She was graduated from the Monroe High School. Hazel was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. She lived in Monroe, Kellogg and Newton. On March 17, 1934 at Des Moines, Iowa, Hazel was united in marriage to J. Joseph Tomlonovic. Hazel was a devoted homemaker for her family, but enjoyed the experience of working outside the home for the Maytag Dairy Farms for 16 years. Hazel was a member of the Community reformed Church in Newton and the Amboy Grange Death came to Hazel on Wednesday, November 20, 1996, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Baxter, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husand, Joe Tomlonovic on October 17, 1994, one brother, Gerald Berkenbosch and three sisters, Mrs. Wiley (Lela) Roberts, Mrs. Ed (Fern) Franks and Mrs. Henry (Vera) Steenhoek Those left to honor the member of Hazel include her daughter and son-in-law, Judie and Robert Butin of Newton, her granddaughter, Lesa and Bill Udelhoven of Newton, two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Brice Udelhoven both of Newton; and her sister, Mrs. Fred (Wilma) Jensma of Monroe, Iowa.
