(Newspaper Obituary) Funeral Services Thursday for Frank Joseph Haller Frank Joseph Haller Sr., son of Charles and Elizabeth Haller was born July 16, 1874 in Kankakee, Illinois and passed away after a short illness at his home near Cowles, Nebraska, December 30, 1944, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 14 days. At the age of 10 years he came to Nebraska with his parents and they resided near Blue Hill two years, then they moved to Bladen where he grew to manhood and lived until a year ago, when he moved to Cowles. He was married to Theresa Novak, September 17, 1907. To this union were born nine children. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Theresa, six sons and three daughters, Karl and Frank Jr., of Bladen, Phillip of Campbell, Joseph of Cowles, Raymond %Postmaster, Seattle, Washington, Richard Creighton, %Fleet Postmaster, San Francisco, California, Elizabeth Schropfer of Holyoke, Colorado, Christina Miller of Harvard, Sister Mary Ambrosia, Ad. PP.S., RN, Taylorville, Illinois, twenty-one grandchildren, one brother, L. Pete of Culbertson and three sisters, Josephine Baggs of Lincoln, Regena Bogart of Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Nehring of Culbertson and preceding him in death two brothers, Chas. and John and one sister, Anna. He was a faithful member of the Holy Roman Catholic church and the Holy Name Society until his death. In his passing the community loses a citizen and a friend who was loved and respected by all. Funeral services were held in the St. Ann's church, Campbell, where he was a member for many years. A solemn high mass of Requiem was chanted. Father O. J. Cormier of Campbell officiating as celebrant, Father J. M. Murphy of Red Cloud as deacon and Father A. J. Szmidt of Blue Hill as sub-deacon. Father Murphy preached the sermon.
